Fettucini Alfredo

1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1/2 cup heavy cream at room temperature
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 pound fettucine
granulated garlic to taste

Place butter, cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg garlic in heatproof bowl
Set bowl over pasta pot to warm the ingredients and melt the butter whild the water heats.
Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente.
Drain pasta well and add to sauce.
Serve immediately.
