Lemon Cheese Stuffed Nectarines (or Peaches)

8 oz cream cheese – softened
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon heavy cream
6 Nectarines or 6 peaches
1 teaspoon chopped lemon balm leaves (optional)
lemon balm leaves for garnish (optional)

In a small mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and lemon juice at medium speed until creamy, add lemon balm if using
Beat in heavy cream until fluffy, set aside
Wash, dry and halve nectarines or peaches, remove pits
Fill cavities with cream cheese mixture
Optional: reassemble nectarines or peaches and top with lemon balm leaves
