Mussels Thai Style

1 cup coconut milk
3/4 tablespoon red curry paste
juice of 1/2 lime
1/2 teaspoon Thai fish sauce
1/2 cup Sake
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 tablespoon chopped basil
1 pound mussels


To make the broth, mix all ingredients except mussels together with a wire whisk.
Put mussels in a heavy saucepan and add enough broth to cover bottom of pan. Cover and steam until mussels open. Pour broth over to serve.
Serve with bread or rice.
