Halibut with Tricolor Peppers

1 tablesppon olive oil
1 sliced yellow onion
1 sliced red bell pepper
1 sliced yellow bell pepper
1 sliced green bell pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, divided
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup fresh basil
2 tablesppons chopped fresh oregano
2 8-ounce halibut fillets


Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat. Add onion, bell peppers, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and garlic. Saute 20 minutes or until very tender.
Stir in wine, basil, and oregano and cook one minute.
Season fish with remaining salt and pepper. Arrange fish over bell pepper mixture. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
