Linguine with Clam Sauce

1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion chopped
3 plum tomatoes, cored, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 10 oz can whole baby clams or minced clams,
juice drained and reserved
1/3 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons chopped basil
salt and pepper
3/4 pound linguine

Heat oil and saute onion five minutes
Add tomatoes and garlic and saute an additional three minutes
Add wine and clam juice and simmer 5 minutes
Add clams, parsley, basil, salt and pepper

Toss with linguine and sprinkle with pine nuts
