Basic Steamed Vegetables


Artichokes: steam 5-6 minutes
Asparagus: trim ends and steam 4-6 minutes
Carrots: peel and slice and steam 6-8 minutes
Cauliflower: cut into florets and steam 4-5 minutes
Broccoli crowns: cut into florets and steam 3-4 minutes
Brussels sprouts: Trim bottom and halve through base and steam 5-6 minutes
Green beans: trim ends and steam 3-5 minutes
Baby or fingerling potatoes: quarter and steam 10-15 minutes
Sugar snap peas: REmove stem and string and steam 5-6 minutes.
