Broiled Pineapple

1 large pineapple, leaves, skin and eyes removed
2 teaspoons canola oil
ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 limes, quartered


Preheat broiler
Cut pineapple crosswise into 8 slices, each about and inch thick
Brush slices lightly with 1 teaspoon oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and place in single layer on baking sheet
Broil until lightly browned, about 7 minutes
Flip slices and brush with remaining oil, sprinkle with pepper and broil for 5-7 minutes more
Immediately sprinkle with brown sugar, cut into wedges and serve with lime quarters for squeezing
