Basic Crisp and Crumble Fillings

(for a 2 quart baking dish)

If you are using only firm fruit (apple, pear, plum, or peach), use 7 cups peeled and sliced or chopped fruit.

To add berries, replace 1 or 2 cups of firm fruit with berries.

Sweeteners (sugar, brown sugar, honey).


Heat oven to 375.

Meanwhile, heat filling until it reaches desired consistency.

Lightly coat a 2 quart baking dish with cookign spray. For crumbles, use a shallower dish, such as an 11 x 7 baking dish.

Add filling to prepared dish.

For a crips, sprinkle topping evenly over fruit. For a crumble, squeeze handfuls of dough to form clumps and crumble dough over fruit.

Bake for 35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
