Honey Spice Cake

1/2 cup sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soad
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
2 teaspoon anisseed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup scaled milk
2 teaspoons rum
2 teaspoons honey

Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, apple pie spice, aniseed, cinnamon, and cloves in a large bowl and mix well. In a measuring cup, combine the milk with the rum and honey. Add to the flour mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth. Cover and let stand overnight at room temperature.

The next day, heat oven to 350. Grease a large loaf pan, then line the bottom with parchment paper and grease the paper. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan. It should not be more than half full. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minute. Cook completely in pan before slicing.
