2 tablespoons clover or acacia honey
freshly ground pepper
Peel and core apples and cut each into 8 slices. Cut the unpeeled orange into thin slices. Layer the orange slices in the bottom of a steamer, cover with a layer of apple slices, and end with a layer of orange slices.
Steam for 6-7 minutes, until the apples are tender and infused with orange perfume. Discard the oranges and serve apples warm, drizzled with honey. Season with pepper to taste.
