Basic American Waffles

2 eggs separated, at room temperature
1 3/4 cups milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt


Beat egg yolks. Stir in milk and oil. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir only until large lumps disapper. Beat egg whites until stiff and gently fold into batter.
