4 or 5 Dozen Mussels
4 tsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
5 Cloves Garlic Chopped (or Minced)
1 Onion Sliced (not chopped)
1 Potato Chunked
1/4 Stick Butter
1 Bottle of Full-bodied Beer (not Dark)
4 tbs. Old Bay Seasoning
Saute garlic, onion, and red pepper in oil until the onions are tender.
Add the potato, bottle of beer, Old Bay Seasoning, black pepper, and butter. Wait for the beer to settle and stir gently for about 2 minutes.
Add the mussels and steam 5 minutes.
Serve with bread.
