Matar Paneer

Ghee, for frying
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin
4 medium onions, minced
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
4 teaspoons tomato puree
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
3 teaspoons coriander
salt to tast
1 cup yogurt, beaten
1 cup cooked green peas
1 teaspoon garam masal

Fry paneer in ghee until light gold in color. Set aside.

In a skillet, heat oil and fry cumin 2 minutes. Add onions and fry until brown. Add hot water, garlic, and ginger and simmer 5 minutes.

Add tomato puree, spices, and salt. Sitr and cook a few minutes.

Add yogurt and simmer 10 minute more. Add peas and garam masala.

Before serving, add paneer.

Serve over rice.
