6 cups sliced, peeled, apples or pears
1/3 – 2/3 cup sugar
5 tablespoons water, divided
1 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Cook and stir apples or pears, sugar, 3 tablespoons water and lemon juice until boiling.
Reduce heat and cover and simmer for five minutes.
Combine 2 tablespoons water and 1 tablespoon cornstarch and add to filling. Cook until thickened
